![]() ![]() something that it seems almost every hotel seems to forget about. The linens are better than average and the pillows were also amazing. Both the wife and I slept great (which is rare). ![]() This bed was soft on top but felt firm underneath. ![]() The sofa and chairs were comfortable but the big hit of the room was the BED. We really appreciated that they furnished the room nicely without being over the top with unnecessary junk on every surface. The room was very large (even considering we booked an upgraded room) and was spotlessly clean. Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly bell hop, checked in quickly and he took our bags to our room. We found the hotel to be really wonderful. We've stayed at a hotel on the other side of the river and had a terrible experience so I was prepared to leave after 1 night. We were a bit dubious about this hotel since it is near downtown. It was a memorable weekend in Portland made perfect by our stay at the Dossier! We then took everything and walked over to the Waterfront to cheer on the top 3 runners as they crossed the finish line. We cheered them on there then walked around the corner to grab a cup of coffee from Capital One Cafe, then across the street, from there, to Pioneer Square to get breakfast at the Fried Egg Food Truck. On a side note, we happened to be in Portland on marathon weekend and the runners ran right past the hotel. Though we didn’t bring our pet, it’s good to know Dossier is a pet friendly hotel and hope to stay here with her on a future visit to Portland. Something that I think is lacking these days so when it does happen I notice and definitely appreciate the courtesy. Staff was very friendly and if helping another guest, would acknowledge our presence to let us know it would be just a moment. The $25 guest amenity fee included a $5 Lobby Kiosk credit where you can choose from a variety of drinks and snacks, daily bottled water, wifi, coffee and tea, all things we took advantage of but you can find the complete list HERE. It was also nice to be provided more than enough towels and bathroom amenities for our long weekend stay. A lighted magnifying mirror was a plus and there was a full-length mirror behind the bathroom door. There was plenty of counter space and shelves, however not enough towel racks and no towel hooks to hang used towels. The bathroom was spacious with a separate tub and shower. I also liked that there were outlets on the desk and both nightstands so we could charge our phones and electronics without "fighting" for an outlet. Our room was comfortable and clean, there was ample seating, a mini-fridge, and I especially loved that the artwork on the walls were all done by local artists. The lobby area looked so comfortable to sit and relax but we were so tired that we just wanted to get to sleep. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and after a flight delay we were pleasantly surprised to be offered an upgrade. It’s an easy walk to shopping (such as Nordstrom, Target, CVS and Providence Place Mall) restaurants, food trucks, Providence Park, Powell’s Books, Voodoo Donut, the waterfront, the TriMet rail system and more. Dossier Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Portland, Oregon.
